Meet our Founder & CEO

Christopher Zembrzuski

Chef Christopher Zembrzuski, known as Chef Z, is a Kansas City native and the founder of Chef Kansas City Catering. He has worked in professional kitchens since his teens and received formal culinary training at The Art Institute of Phoenix, earning certification through the American Culinary Federation.

Chef Z built his early career in fine dining kitchens before expanding his experience in Sedona and San Francisco. He served as Chef de Cuisine for a San Francisco catering company, producing custom menus for corporate events, film, and photo shoots. His clients included Apple, Facebook, Williams Sonoma, Starbucks, United Airlines, and Ford Motor Company.

After returning to Kansas City, Chef Z launched Chef Kansas City Catering to offer personalized, chef-driven catering and private chef services. He specializes in corporate catering, private events, and custom menus designed around each client’s needs.

Today, Chef Z brings a hands-on approach, consistent execution, and a focus on quality ingredients to every event, from intimate dinners to large corporate gatherings.

EXECUTIVE CHEF

Chef Danielle Kemp

Danielle Kemp is the Executive Chef at Chef Kansas City Catering, bringing extensive experience in catering, restaurant kitchens, and large-scale event production. With a strong background in menu development, food safety, and team leadership, Dani ensures consistent, high-quality execution across every event.

Dani received formal culinary training at Johnson County Community College, earning Associate of Science and Associate of Arts degrees. Prior roles include Executive Catering Chef at PB&J Restaurants Inc. and Sous Chef at North Italia, where they led kitchen teams, trained staff, and maintained high culinary standards.

At Chef KC, Dani oversees kitchen operations, staff training, and menu execution for corporate catering, private events, and high-volume productions throughout Kansas City. Their leadership focuses on efficiency, safety, and food that delivers every time.
